There are many options available to choose from when it comes to deciding which style of splashback you would like to include in your kitchen. Some of the choices are: ceramic tiles, stainless steel plates, wooden tongue and groove boards or glass plates. Whichever material you decide on, it is a good idea to keep your splashbacks a neutral color. The reason for this is that fashions change and although a deep burgundy color might be in vogue at the moment, what about in two years’ time when it seen as passé? If you would like a splash of color in your kitchen then you can pick that up in your choice of plates, dishes and cloths. Keeping to a neutral colorway for your splashbacks means that they will go with whatever color you choose to have in the rest of the room. After all, it is far more cost-effective to simply change the colour of your dish cloths than having to have new splashbacks! You could also consider buying toning accessories such as kettles, toasters and microwaves if you specifically decide that you would like some bright colors in your kitchen. And if you choose to have glass splashbacks, then you could always paint the wall behind them before they are installed and you will still have the effect of having a colored splashback for your guests to admire!
